“It’s more than just a workout; it’s an experience.”

The Pilates Experience is a comprehensive, boutique Pilates studio located in Central, LA in the Reserve at Shoe Creek building directly at the corner of Grand Settlement Boulevard and Alderman Drive. We offer a variety of small group classes as well as private and semi private sessions tailored to various fitness levels. We want to be the studio you choose rather than settle for. This is why we offer several flexible, affordable, no hassle ways to practice Pilates i.e. membership (auto-renewal) packages, zero commitment (non-renewal) packages, and single class bookings. No long-term contracts and endless hidden fees. It’s our job to make the process simple so you can enjoy your experience with us. We challenge you with our classes, not our processes. So if you desire accessibility, autonomy in how you practice, and classes that keep you running back for more, then The Pilates Experience is the place for you.

Meet The Founder

Danielle Roach is a Baton Rouge, Louisiana native, Retired Army Officer, combat Veteran and Mother of two. After returning home from military service late 2021, Danielle experienced challenges often associated with a Soldier’s reintegration into civilian life. This transition affected her quality of life and mental health. Thankfully, a friend introduced her to Pilates and she was hooked after her first class. Having a fitness routine she actually enjoyed did wonders for her physical and mental wellness. So much so, she wanted to help others discover the transformative power of Pilates.

After about 2 year of consistent practice, Danielle decided to turn her newfound passion into a second career. In September 2023, Danielle began a rigorous, 500-hour Comprehensive Teacher Training Program through Club Pilates’ State of the Art Training Facility in Atlanta, Ga. and immediately began working as an Apprentice Instructor in Baton Rouge upon her return. In late summer of 2024 after successfully completing the certification course, she stepped into the role of Lead Certified Instructor. During this time, Danielle gained invaluable experience teaching over 1100 medium to large group classes and workshops.

Danielle’s love for connecting with people and motivating them along their Pilates journey led her to expand her footprint into Lafayette, Mandeville and NOLA (all while still teaching in Baton Rouge). After teaching at several franchise locations operating under the same model (larger class size, lots of red tape, and vast differences between the level and quality of instruction), Danielle felt compelled to deliver something different to her community: A chic, inviting and more intimate experience. From that drive, The Pilates Experience was born.

Danielle’s concept is simple: quality over quantity, which is often a trade off in “revolving door” studios that have larger classes. Most people agree that movement is medicine, but Danielle understands that “intentional, controlled movement is magic.” She wishes to inspire people through the latter so they too can “experience the magic” because doing Pilates isn’t enough, but doing it correctly is key to reaping the full benefits. That said, Danielle has no desire to simply “go through the motions” and believes smaller, more focused groups increases mind-body connection, maximizes results, and enhances the overall experience for both students and instructors.
